Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in the agriculture industry as a farmer, veterinarian, scientist? Well wonder no more... our first annual Agriculture & Leadership Career Experience summer program in Wyoming County was designed with you in mind!
Participants will spend the week at Brown Hill Farms in Tunkhannock, PA learning about "everything agriculture" from industry leaders, farmers, professionals and educators. Students will meet at the farm each morning and spend the day engaging in hands-on activities and field trips. The program is open to all students in grades 9-12 (graduating seniors are allowed to participate). Applications will be accepted on a first-come basis. Our annual Healthcare Career Experience summer program is set for the week of July 18, 2022 at the Susquehanna Career and Technology Center in Springville, PA.
Students will explore the various careers available in the healthcare industry and learn about important issues in health. They have the opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals both in the classroom and on field trips. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience a career in an industry that you are interested in? Well look no further… NTIEC's Paid/Unpaid Internship Program was designed with you in mind!
Paid Internship - Students experience part-time employment with an employer that enhances their stated career pathway. Employment takes place during the school year and most students leave school early to work in the afternoon, but placements are flexible. Schedules vary depending on employer need, school schedules, school policy and the academic progression of individual students. Unpaid Internship - Students experience part-time work-based learning in a field or industry that aligns with their stated career pathway. These run during the school year and the actual duration and number of participation hours are flexible. Schedules vary depending on work place schedule, school schedules, school policy and the academic progression of individual students. These placements can include working with professionals, trade groups, non-profits and volunteer organizations. Each placement is designed to move a student along a stated career pathway.
